Our Values
Safety First
Safe streets are essential. We advocate for infrastructure and policies that help people and cars coexist safely—because everyone deserves to get home safely.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
All people—regardless of background, age, income, or ability—deserve representation and access to multi-modal transportation. We work to ensure everyone feels welcome, heard, and empowered to move safely and confidently through Brevard.
Sustainability & Long-Term Impact
Human-powered transportation benefits both people and the planet. We champion choices that support health and environmental stewardship.
Community Collaboration
We believe biking connects people. Shared spaces build stronger communities, and shared partnerships build lasting change. Together, we make Brevard a place where biking and walking bring people closer and strengthen the fabric of our town.
Integrity
We are open, caring, accountable, and honest in all that we do. We live our values every day and make decisions guided by data, transparency, and respect.
Goals & Accomplishments
2026
Establish Brevard Bike Alliance as a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit
Lay the legal and organizational foundation needed for long-term impact by becoming a fully recognized 501(c)(3). This will strengthen our credibility, expand funding opportunities, and support sustainable growth.
Complete a Community Bike & Walking Path Audit
Conduct a comprehensive audit of the Estatoe Trail in Brevard to identify safety challenges, accessibility gaps, and areas for improvement. Share findings with partners and use the data to guide advocacy priorities.
Host an Annual Community Kickoff Event
Create a signature yearly event that brings the Brevard community together to celebrate biking and walking, introduce BBA’s mission and programs, recruit volunteers, and build momentum for the year ahead.
